Who we are

What we collect

When you request a quote through our form, we collect:

• your name
• your company name, if you give one
• your phone number
• your email address
• how you prefer us to contact you
• the address where the work is needed
• details of the job
• photos you upload
• glass sizes
• your IP address and the basic details your browser sends, such as device type and browser
• which pages you visit on this site

Why we collect it

We use your quote details to prepare your quote, to carry out the work, and to contact you about your request. We also keep them so that you can log in to our customer portal and request a new quote quickly the next time you need us.

The honest bit about tracking

Yes, we track visits to this site. We want to know which suburbs our visitors come from, which pages they read, and which services get the most interest, and we use that to decide what to offer and where to advertise. In plain words: we use it to sell more glass. Ourselves. To you. We are a glass company and we are not shy about it.

What we will never do is sell your information to anyone else. There is no big bad wolf at the other end of this form, just a team with a van full of glass.

Here is exactly who sees what:

• Google Analytics measures how the site is used. Google sets cookies for this and receives your IP address, browser details and the pages you view. Google Ads conversion tracking tells us when an advert led to a quote request. Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and its privacy policy applies to what Google does with it.
• Cloudflare delivers and protects this site, runs the robot check on the quote form, and processes your IP address to do so.
• Google Maps loads only when you click to show the map on our areas page.

None of these companies are given your name, phone number, email address or the contents of your quote request.

Photos

Photos you upload with a quote request are used only to prepare that quote.

When we do a job, our team takes before and after photos of the work for our records. We may use some of these photos in our marketing, for example on this website or on social media. Before we do, we mask faces, house numbers, street names, vehicle registrations and anything else that could identify you or where the photo was taken. If you would rather we did not use photos of your job at all, tick the box on the job sheet or tell us at any time, and we will not.

How long we keep it

The quote form is processed by NivaCity's form service on our behalf. The form service keeps each submission and its photos for 90 days and then deletes them.

Doxa keeps your contact details, job history and job photos in our customer records, stored on servers managed by NivaCity, for as long as you have an account with us. If you have not used our services or logged in for five years, we delete your records. You can ask us to delete them sooner at any time.

Emails about your request are kept in our mailbox.

Cookies

Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies so that Google can tell one visit from another. The site sets no other cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. To stop Google Analytics measuring your visits on any site, you can install Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. You can also ask us to close your portal account. Email [email protected] and we will help.
